Dapple is an iPhone light meter and depth-of-field calculator. This policy explains how the app and this support website handle information. Dapple does not require an account.
Camera and on-device processing
With your permission, Dapple uses the camera for live preview and exposure estimation. Camera images are processed on your device and are not uploaded by Dapple to a developer-operated server. This version does not capture or save photos or videos. You can revoke camera access in iOS Settings; the depth-of-field calculator remains available.
Preferences on your device
Dapple stores preferences such as format, distance units, exposure settings and calibration on your device to restore your settings. This version has no accounts or cloud sync.
Data collection and tracking
This version of Dapple does not collect personal data through the app for the developer. It includes no advertising, third-party analytics SDKs or cross-app tracking.
Purchases and external services
App Store purchases and payments are handled by Apple. If you open an external author or development-tool link, you leave Dapple and the destination service's privacy policy applies.
Retention and deletion
Preferences remain on your device so they can be restored when you next use Dapple. You can change them in the app or remove local app data by uninstalling Dapple. Eligible settings may be included in iOS system backups according to your backup options; backup copies are managed through your and Apple's relevant settings. Dapple provides no developer-operated accounts or cloud sync.
Support and this website
This website is hosted by Cloudflare. Hosting and security services may process network request data such as IP addresses and browser information to deliver and protect the site. The website contains no advertising or third-party analytics scripts and cannot access Dapple's camera images or local preferences.
Policy updates
We may update this policy as features and services change. The current version and its update date are published on this page.
